It's very easy to spoil a baby because of how cute and adorable they are. Whenever they cry, parents or caregivers want to pick them up right away and comfort them or put them in front of the television and entertain them.

Parents are encouraged now to let their babies watch television with getting 30 minute shows that have light and animation in it that will help comfort the baby. You must learn how to limit the amount of television they watch because they will start picking up bad habits with the television at a very young age.

Instead of letting your baby watch television when it might be cranky or restless, place them on a play mat and give them baby learning toys. You don't want to overwhelm your baby with lots of toys. They usually only go back and forth to just a couple so it's good to have one or two there and not tons at once.

Baby learning toys are the best kind to give a baby because it will help stimulate them and they can start learning things even as a baby.

There are some developmental toys designed just for babies to help them learn and be entertained for hours so they won't need to be in front of the television. They also have little activity musical gyms out there and play pianos that your baby can kick on and watch lights and hear music. When you are picking out a baby gym, you will be surprised at how many there are.

Gyms and pianos are just a couple of baby learning toys out there that can help your baby. A toy can turn that cry into a laugh in just a matter of seconds and can help bring peace back into the home.

Popular Children Learning Toys for Today
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Arland_Kent]Arland Kent

Let your child have a head start with these well-liked learning toys for children. Young kids need encouragement to develop and learn, and these learning playthings are ideal to boost your child's learning. Children learning toys for are developed to encourage development of the sensor motor and promote creativity, intellectual augmentation. They are of great fun and keep kids full of activity to while the time away and yet still keep on learning.  Get your baby off early on in learning with these fantastic learning toys which can provide both entertainment and education.

Play time is learning time. Children's learning toys give your child the opportunity to practice the skills they'll need in life and have a good time while doing it. From basic motor skills (see this article on gross motor skills with respect to toys) to imitating grown-up activities, toys encourage children to use their imagination.

Up till now, parents who are about to buy toys for their children need not look any further than the Internet to do their shopping. There are sites featuring toys manufactured by such reputable companies. Some sites even offer same-day shipping, free gift-wrap, and advice on choosing the best toys for children of all ages.

Here are some of the most popular learning toys and educational toys for babies and Toddlers:

•    Kids need toys that can prepare them for their first days in school. It is true that appealing toys usually offer only the basics. Like toys that play kiddies’ music, teaches the alphabet and letters, shows numbers and shapes that progress as the child grows and develops.

•    Reading toys for preschool and children at elementary are introduced to letters, numbers and words, then go on with higher levels as kids progresses with even more challenging reading activities. A captivating mixture of beautiful illustrated letters, shapes, maps, and jigsaw puzzles. This is especially designed to reinforce basic skills and make learning easy and fun.

•    A seemingly realistic function-wise working cash register is integrated with a solar-powered calculator that can accommodate real-sizes dollar bills The bigger than normal sized buttons and a large number display makes it suitable for different levels of educational learning ability. The toy comes with plastic coins, play bills, make believe credit cards and other accessories

•    Toy microscopes are versatile, easy-to-use viewer which allow young scientists to view slide strips (which are actual images photographed through a microscope), 35mm slides of conventional prepared slides.

Remember, start your young child off right by starting him or her with toys that encourage greater growth. All toys will definitely help your child but if can spot those toys that help the development of your child, your family will benefit. Be an active part of your child’s development. The child learning toy would be much more effective and fun for you and your child if you join in on the playing time.

Learning Toys Stimulate Different Types of Child Development
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Joe_Kanooga]Joe Kanooga

Parents might not spend a lot of time thinking about the make-believe learning toys they provide to their kids, but maybe they should start. A closer look at play time shows that different types of toys stimulate different types of child development.

For kids, play time is more than just fun and games. Play time provides kids with a safe way to experiment and learn about the real world without all the risks associated with the real world. Play time is actually productive time proven to develop talents, character, social skills, language skills, creativity, emotional strength, intellectual capacity and self-discipline.

To help parents consider the impact of different types of make-believe learning toys and the impact those toys have on child development, here is a list of different learning toys that are known to stimulate make-believe play.

1. Dolls and dollhouses available today can be amazingly life-like, which helps kids to imitate real life and role-play with members of their pretend doll family. The emotions and bonds developed during this play time are real. Little girls can get very much attached to their dolls as they practice loving and caring for another person.

2. Stuffed toys are great tools to teach imaginative play and role playing, especially during the toddler years. It is during these years that kids begin make-believe play where their stuffed toys come alive. Many kids develop strong emotional relationships with their stuffed toys, which makes it a warm, significant relationship in their early years.

3. Puppets are designed to facilitate role-playing and acting. Playing with puppets helps kids define and explore relationships in a safe environment. Unlike other toys based on established characters, most puppets are based on unknown characters, which provides a blank slate for kids to use their own imagination to develop and define the character and its relationships with others.

4. Transportation toys such as cars, trucks, trains and airplanes allow kids to take their imagination on trips across town or across the globe. Transportation learning toys remove geographical boundaries to expand imaginative play into new frontiers. Kids can enjoy adventure-filled trips to new places without leaving home.

5. Play kitchen and house toys such as a pretend vacuum cleaner offers kids a greater sense of self-esteem as use the same heavy-duty equipment and tackle the same jobs around the house as mom (and dad?).

6. Costumes are the ultimate make-believe toys for role playing. Costumes such as cowboy clothes for boys and ballerina costumes for girls take them directly into the pretend realm where their dreams all come true.

7. Theme sets provide a pretend setting for real-world situations such as grocery store cash registers, ATM machines, play food sets, and play doctor sets. Theme sets help kids to understand the world around them and motivate them to learn more about these real-world encounters.

Perhaps the best way for young kids to learn is by reading books aloud to them allowing them to interact and participate in the stories. However, after books, make-believe learning toys promote child development in many different ways.

Encouraging Potty Training

For many parents, potty training can be one of the most frustrating parts of early child rearing. In the act of weaning their children from diapers to the potty, a mother or father must learn to be a psychologist, a teacher, and, at times, a drill sergeant.

There are literally hundreds of books on the subject, many of them more than a few hundred pages in length, detailing the best methods to use in potty training, and certainly an entire field of child psychology devoted to the subject, and still, it has not yet been perfected to a science. Every child will learn at a different pace, and every child will respond to different techniques than the next child.

Serious study into the psychology of potty training began, of course, with Sigmund Freud, who put forth that potty training is one of the most important components in the early phases of an individual’s psychological development. The general theory being that a child must be taught that bodily desires do not always take immediate precedence over social and other imperatives. As such, a child who is potty trained poorly may grow up to experience difficulties in controlling their own inhibitions in a social setting, and a child who is potty trained too strictly may grow up to experience issues of self worth centred around cleanliness and perfection.

While many of Sigmund Freud’s theories have been considered less and less important over time by the psychological community at large, they remain the foundation upon which much of modern psychology is based, and Freud’s theories on potty training are no exception.

While different children may respond differently to various methods, the one constant, believed by nearly all child analysts, is that a potty training routine must remain consistent, and must focus on positive reinforcement as opposed to punishment or scolding. In short, a child spends the first year and a half of life using diapers. Rather than punishing a child for doing something they consider normal, it is much more effective to reward them for taking a developmental step forward.

Between the ages of eighteen months and two years of age, most children enter a phase wherein they hope to earn parental approval. Almost invariably, child psychologists recommend making the most of this time by focusing on potty training. Some parents wait too long, and wind up with their children going through a stubborn, rebellious phase, where they are more concerned with asserting their independence than they are with impressing their parents. It’s certainly not impossible to teach a stubborn child to use the potty, but it’s nothing if not an uphill battle.

In general, it’s a good idea to make the act of potty training fun. You need your child’s cooperation. Obviously this begins with a training potty, and Fisher Price’s My Potty Friend is as good a place to start as any, with a clicking “flush” lever, and an actual toilet paper roll holder. Furthermore, there should be some form of consistent reward system in place. Many parents opt for the “star system”, wherein a gold star sticker is placed on the calendar (one for number one, and two for number two, of course). When a certain number of stars have been reached, the child may be rewarded with anything from a new children’s book, to a trip to the pet store, so long as it is something that the child enjoys.

However, ultimately, the most important reward system in potty training is simply parental praise. Let your child know you love them, and let them know when you are happy with their progress.

Volkswagen Die Cast Replicas

Volkswagen, the German car manufacturer based in Wolfsburg, Germany, has been building carsBeetle, Microbus, and other models have generated a dedicated following of collectors.

History of Volkswagen Replicas like many die-cast replica products, early replicas were produced primarily as children's toys. Wiking marketed 1:40 scale beetles, transporters and pickup truckWheels 1969 Beach Bomb replica, of which only 25 are known to exist, was sold for a record $72,000 at auction in 2000.

Most Popular Replica Models the Beetle and the Microbus are by far the most prolific models in die-cast circles. For over 40 years, these two models have been replicated in die-cast form by many manufacturers in a huge range of standard and customized formats. While most of the other models are represented in die-cast replica manufacturers' product lines, they do not match the scope of replicas available for these two models. This is not surprising, given the cult following of the Beetle and the Microbus in full-size form beginning in the 1960s and continuing to the present day. Manufacturers of Volkswagen Replicas over the years, several manufacturers have produced replicas of Volkswagen vehicle models. Some of these manufacturers include:

Revel Germany - Revell Germany, most known for their plastic model kits, also currently has a popular line of ready-made 1/18 scale die-cast vehicles, including several Volkswagen models. In addition to the standard Beetle and Microbus models, Revell also manufactures some older Volkswagen models, such as the Karmann-Ghia.

Jada Toys - Jada produces standard replicas of a wide range of models, as well as customized models in both 1/24 and 1/64 scales.

Corgi Toys - Corgi Toys manufactured a few models in the late 1950s and through the 1960s.

Hot Wheels - A beetle model was one of the first Hot Wheels products in 1968. Hot Wheels continues to manufacture a variety of 1/64 scale Volkswagen replicas.

Micro-Machines - Micro-Machines released a line of Volkswagen replicas in the late 1980s through the 1990s. Micro-Machine models are slightly larger than N-scale models, which range from 1/148 to 1/160.

Maisto - Maisto manufactures a line of VW replicas, but the quality of their models and the vehicle detail are lower than those of other manufacturers.

Volkswagen die-cast replicas continue to be a popular choice for collectors in a variety of scales. Manufacturers are taking advantage of the popularity by continuing to maintain product lines that contain Volkswagen models, particularly the Beetle and Microbus. since the 1930s. While some models have become cult classics, this devotion to the brand also extends to die-cast replicas. Die-cast replicas of the the replicas in the 1950s. Corgi followed in the 1960s with a wide range of Volkswagen vehicle replicas. Taiyo and the EF White Co. also produced model toys in the 1960's. Not many of these older replicas and toys are still available on the market, and when they do appear, they can command a hefty price at auction. A Hot

Most bicyclists know without a doubt when we are climbing or descending hills, especially the steeper ones. Not only This article will present the Mountain bike review; one of the most well-known type of bicycle we know today. Unlike road bikes, mountain bikes are specifically designed for rough terrains. Almost all mountain bikes have common characteristics that offer great performance on rough terrains. They are quite heavier as compared to the road bicycle which gives them more durability. Mountain biking is roughly broken down into four categories: cross country, downhill, free ride, and trials/street riding. Each has differing levels of safety-consciousness with different types of mountain bikes and riding gear. For the purpose of shock absorption and additional traction, all mountain bikes uses wide and knobby tires. In the past few years, full front and real suspension is gradually becoming a common feature of all mountain bikes. As you can see in the picture below that the handlebars has got bar ends. But today, lower handlebars or risen handlebars ( as in case of road bicycles) is becoming more popular in comparison with straight handlebars.Mountain bike DesignMountain bikes are available in different designs but it can be classified into various categories likeHard Tail: with this design, the bike has no rear suspension. It only has front suspension.Soft Tail: Unlike hard tail, it has some rear suspension and uses flex of the frame rather than pivots.Fully Rigid: this type of mountain bike has got no suspension. It is fully rigid and has a fixed gear.Full Suspension: This type of mountain bike has got both rear and front suspension and it also has got rear shock and linkage to move the rear wheel on pivots.Tire designMost of the mountain bikes uses 559 mm wheels, although the measurements are not necessarily accurate. In some countries, mountain bikes have got 28 inch wheels like in Europe. For dirt jumping, 24 inch wheels are generally used. Sometimes both wheels of the bikes have got varying sizes to offer more variety and design. Most of the mountain bikes have a 24 inch wheel for the purpose of dirt jumping. 24 inch wheels are also used for freeride bikes as well. But in these free rides, a 24 inch wheel is used as a rear wheel which makes the bicycle more maneuverable. Once, 29 inch wheels were used for Cross Country. However, these 29 inch tires are now becoming more common.
